At Van der Windt we want our environment policy to go further. Which is why our ambition is for our CO2 emissions in 2015 to be 15% less than they were in 2009. We can only do this by making changes across a wide range of fronts. Introducing sustainable raw materials is one of the cornerstones.
When it comes to bio-based packaging we are a leading packaging supplier. We are also constantly on the look-out for ways to reduce the quantity of material used for packaging. Developing a multi-use cask is one of the many options.
Not allowing operating processes to be more of an environmental burden than is absolutely necessary is just as important. This is why Van der Windt continuously invests in new techniques and technologies that, without any loss of quality, save energy and have no detrimental effect on the environment. Using ‘green’ electricity is another way to put sustainability into practice. And we have invested in energy-efficient lighting that, compared to convention lighting, is far less burdensome.
